The white wine »Opus K Cuvée Prestige« trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Neverland Vineyards has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 - 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Grauburgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
The aroma emphasises Chardonnay, but the fruit of Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc boldly peeks out. Some pear, vanilla, peony and smokiness are inviting. Full-bodied, expansive palate with nuttiness and light brown caramel elements and minerality. Very vivid.
More about the tasting80% Chardonnay characterises the cuvée. On the nose, hazelnut and coconut from the wood, still very vivid, with candied lemon behind it. Dense and ripe on the palate, excellent structure, high acidity, some caramel, still very young in the oak aroma, but has a lot of certain ageing potential.
