Regional blend of Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Toro. Dark ruby red with matured rim brightening. The aroma is still dominated by new oak, with intense fruit aromas of wild cherry, plum and elderberry. Spicy components include notes of dried meat, tar and sage. On the palate, the wine is immensely dense, the almost oily base embeds the fine-grained, powerful tannins in such a way that a round taste impression is created despite the enormous extract. Lively acidity and a juicy finish create balance and take the heaviness out of the finish. Very good certain ageing potential.
