The red wine Reserva Douro DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Quinta do Noval has been rated in 2021 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca from the region Douro in Portugal.
Beautifully pure and ripe blackberry has overtones of peony, eglantine and vanilla, with more air there is a hint of dried mint. The palate flows with sinuous ripeness and smoothest tannins. But everything stays bright, precise and vivid because all this sumptuousness ich countered by exquisite freshness. A class act. A.K.

Ripe black cherry fruit, fine wild berry confit, floral nuances, fine savoury touch of precious wood, dark nougat, inviting bouquet. Full-bodied, elegant, pleasant extracted sweetness, a hint of cloves, some cardamom, fine, well-integrated tannins, mineral, finely structured, slate-limestone minerality, has length and certain ageing potential.
