Tasting Notes
The opaque ruby colour is glossy and dense in the glass. The first sniff already confirms much ripeness with hints of plump, almost baked plum. Subtle overtones reveal a touch of florality. The palate is fresher than expected, with juicy, ripe, fragrant plum that has a lovely edge of saltiness, of savoury soy, of vivid cinnamon spice and seemingly the riches of the Orient. What a bold, vivid, rich and layered wine. The tannins are palpable but so ripe that they will melt into purest velvet. This is layered and exuberant, vivid and bold, generous and rich - and very long. Outstanding.
