Tasting Notes
A deep, opaque ruby appears in the glass with just a little, slender rim. The nose is subdued, subtle, giving mere glimpses of lichen, perhaps of violet and an edge of incense before vivid, ripe plum, almost with a touch of prune, appears. The palate is smooth, rounded, rich, with sweetness absolutely bound up in that lovely, ripe, plump plum fruit. Tannins are smooth and even, almost resolved. Edges of cinnamon appear, accentuating the sweetness, the richness and generosity of plum that lets the finish almost attain an echo of vieille prune. Lovely length.
