The red wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Vecchie Viti del Salco DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Salcheto has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark, luminous, elegant and deep ruby red. Initial spicy-meaty nose, followed by fine rosemary notes, dried tomato, then ripe cherries. On the palate, punchy and tightly woven tannins, tense, with a salty-minerality, great length.
