Dark, flinty ruby in colour with a slight purple shimmer. Ripe plum fruit and preserved cherries, then lots of blackberry with a slight hint of sandalwood in the background. Dense tannins on the palate which has good body with a mineral edge. It's still very tight, with lots of certain ageing potential. Earthy tones on the finish.
