The red wine Percarlo IGT, vintage 2006 from the winery San Giusto a Rentennano has been rated in 2011 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, intense ruby in colour. A powerful and inviting nose showing wonderful notes of ripe, dark cherries, plums and wild raspberries, underpinned by subtle spice notes. Rich and juicy on the attack and on the palate, it opens with plenty of savoury, gripping tannins that build up in a multi-layered way through to the firm drive on the finish.
