The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Santa Sofia has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella from the region Veneto in Italy.
Bright, rich ruby with a light garnet edge. Very clear and intense fruit, full of elderberry and blackberry. Polished and elegant on the approach, shows a lot of vivid, ripe fruit, very clear, fine-meshed tannin that spreads continuously, long cherry finish.
