The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Santa Sofia has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella from the region Veneto in Italy.
Intense, dark shining ruby red. Rich nose of ripe plums, underpinned by subtle hints of smoke, and lightly of olives. Very precise in approach and course, expands beautifully with polished tannins, finishes in the final on the finest coffee notes.
