The sweet and dessert wine Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Santa Sofia has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella from the region Veneto in Italy.
Dense ruby violet. Opens with savoury notes of galangal, a lot of molasses, dried plums behind. Spreads pleasantly on the palate, much ripe fruit, beautiful sweet texture, opens with hearty tannin, on the finish much dark chocolate.
