The red wine »Steil« Pinot Noir trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery solveigs has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 - 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Almost French on the nose with aromas of redcurrant, red cherry, raspberry and clove. Lively acidity on the palate, along with ripe tannins and echoes of cranberry and hibiscus. A wine with tension and an attractive finish. .
More about the tastingMineral, savoury aroma, mint, juniper, tobacco, a hint of malt. Taut tannins on the palate, supple on the palate, ripe but well-sustained acidity, dense minerality on the finish, with intense red berry flavours and a subtle creaminess.
