Distinct notes of new wood, but also rich fruit: sloe, black cherry, blackberry jelly, sultanas. On the palate, enormous, colossal yet elegant tannins, full-bodied, viscous, with a well-integrated acidity, intense wood notes, mineral. A Rheingau Amarone. Lovely with veal and mushrooms.
