The red wine Fausoni Barbaresco DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Sottimano has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kierm, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Intensive, shining ruby with subtle brightening on the rim. Aromas of noble wood savouriness, dried rose petals, forest fruits, cassis, finest leather and some liquorice. A powerful and clear palate with concentrated generous red berry fruit, dry tannic notes to the finish.
