The red wine Rosso del Conte Sicilia DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Tasca d’Almerita has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nero d’Avola, Perricone from the region Etna in Italy.
Elegant bright ruby red with a delicate brightening edge. Exciting and inviting nose of ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, a hint of elderberry, then mint and sage, delicate hints of iron. Compact on the palate with tightly woven salty tannin, tightens up superbly, slightly resinous fruity undertone, finish shows finesse and is long.
