The red wine Tenuta Tascante - Contrada Sciaranuova VV Etna DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Tasca d’Almerita has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Lightening, medium-dense garnet red colour. Highly complex and finely characterised nose, opening with notes of liquorice and smoke, then raspberry, rose hip jelly, pomegranate and a little iodine. Extremely juicy fruit on the palate, red apple and blood orange, very good tension, salty finish.
