The red wine Giorgio Primo IGT, vintage 2013 from the winery Tenuta La Massa has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Tasting Notes
Rich, flint ruby with purple glints. After elderberry there is some flint, ripe mulberry and slightly resinous notes. Very tightly woven on the palate, lots of grippy tannin, unfolds elegantly.
More about the tastingDeep, dark ruby purple colour. Very concentrated, opulent fruit on the nose, of elderberry, ripe blackberry and mulberry, underpinned by fine cedar wood, some graphite. Plays out magnificently on the palate, dense, vivid tannin in the attack and finish, plump, ripe berry fruit, very long finish, spans a wide range, very precise.
