The red wine Troj Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Vigna Traverso has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Schioppettino from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Rich ruby with a dark core. Opens on the nose with notes of dried plums and plenty of elderberries, alternating between earthy, fruity and SAVOURY tones. Firm, full-bodied tannins on the palate form the distinctive backbone of the wine, with some bread crust on the finish.
