The sparkling wine Extra Blu Franciacorta DOCG MIllesimato Extra Brut, vintage 2020 from the winery Villa Franciacorta has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Nero from the region Lombardia in Italy.
Pale straw yellow in colour with golden reflections. A complex nose, with aromas of ripe apple, candied citrus fruit, brioche and black bread crust. The palate is dry, powerful, and full-bodied, with lots of drive, and a fine, persistent mousse. The recurring aromas from the nose are joined by fine roasted notes and quince. Slightly textural with a long finish.
