Deep ruby-garnet colour, purple reflections, watery rim. Somewhat restrained bouquet of dark berries, suede, some cocoa, a hint of coconut and liquorice, needs some air in the glass. Juicy, fresh dark berry confit, pronounced in fruit core, vivid, well-integrated tannins, nougat on the finish, complex and persistent, a harmonious food companion that can take a few more years of bottle ageing.
