The white wine NV »Sauvage« Traminer from the winery Weinbau Frédéric Fourré has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Traminer from the region Saxony in Germany.
It smells almost like an Arbois! Walnut and apple, oxidation, and yeast. The wine starts smoothly and continues with pithy acidity. It's juicy and also piquantly mineral. The finish is rather round and hints at the influence of the wooden barrel. A successful experiment!
