The rosé wine Pillnitzer Königlicher Weinberg Schieler trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weinbau Loose has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Schieler from the region Saxony in Germany.
Pastel pink in colour, almost in the style of a Provençal rosé. The aroma reveals the use of oak barrels, with balsamic spices dominating the grape fruit. On the palate, the wine has good texture, is subtly full-bodied, but also delicately sweet, with carbon dioxide freshness and a finish which is finely structured with a slightly yeasty bitterness. Should benefit from bottle ageing.
