The sweet and dessert wine Kasel Nies’chen Riesling, vintage 1997 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Rich golden. On the nose: dried pear, a hint of honey blossom. In the mouth, the wine is light-bodied, has a fine phenolic character, delicate sweetness behind a firm acid backbone, good length. An Auslese in the cool Ruwer style.
