The red wine 2019 »Grande Cuvée«, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Axel Bauer has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec from the region Baden in Germany.
Some chocolate on the nose, white pepper, thyme and other wild herbs, almost Garrigue like undertones. On the palate, the wine has a dense, fine-grained, very slightly grippy tannin on a creamy base, the acidity is just as seamlessly integrated as the alcohol, the wine has very good certain ageing potential.
