The red wine Marienthal Trotzenberg Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Bertram-Baltes has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Ahr in Germany.
Flint and light smoke still speak of yeast and reduction on the nose. But then comes fine, pure, almost creamy cherry fruit, accompanied by some elderberry scent. The freshness is amazing for 2018, the purity of the fruit exemplary.
