The red wine »Treibgut Alte Reben« Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Bertram-Baltes has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
Two barrels Hardtberg and one Rosenthal - only 778 bottles. Behind the reduction, oriental spices and herbs already appear: coriander grain, pepper, dark chocolate. Opens with a subtle palate, the wine shows a high compaction of fine tannin, with some texture in the background, the fine tannin is mineral primed. The wine has a lot of energy, keeps the tension high for a long time on the palate. Impressive; engaging the palate and yet so fine.
