Opens on the nose with new wood and roasted aromas - roasted pepper, pear and yellow fruit such as apricot, honeydew melon and some mango. Flax and citrus fruit also emerge. Juicy and full-bodied on the palate with a powerful and firm structure characterised by the wood ageing, albeit with a ripe acid vein and maritime hints. Echoes of the citric notes appear on the finish, which has good density and mineral tones. Young, with certain ageing potential.
