The red wine Lorch Schlossberg Pinot Noir trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Chat Sauvage has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Rheingau in Germany.
There is plenty of blackcurrant on the nose, along with elderberry pulp, and some oak smoke, it is a compact bouquet. On the palate the Schlossberg has great maturity, with dense intense and almost sweet fruit, a tight tannin frame, amazing youthfulness, and well-integrated acidity. It has great ageing potential.
