The sweet and dessert wine »Alte Reben« Trittenheim Apotheke Riesling Spätlese, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Christoph Eifel has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Aromas of ripe tropical fruit - pineapple and papaya in particular - plus some blossom honey, with a fine slate savouriness in behind bringing some smoke and mint tones. On the palate there's a textural sweetness and dense, ripe peach and apricot backed by a gripping acidity that creates lots of tension. Finishes long, with certain ageing potential.
