Dark, ripe fruit such as blackberry and black cherry is accompanied by strong spice and dark chocolate. Powerful and dense on the palate with plenty of extract and a lot of ripe, fine-grained tannins, spicy and peppery on the finish, the alcohol is seamlessly countered by extract, plus mineral tones. A big wine, pairs well with stews.
