The red wine »Altor« trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Emil Bauer und Söhne has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Garnet red in the glass. On the nose, a scent of ripe cherry, tomato leaf, balsamic vinegar and vanilla. New aromas of blackberry, clove and pepper develop on the palate. The wine has a lively acidity, ripe tannins and a good finish.
