The white wine Steinreinacher Hörnle Sauvignon Blanc trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Escher has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Württemberg in Germany.
It is closed on the nose, but there are hints of a wide-ranging aroma, with ripe grape fruit alongside spicy hints, a note of oak, and minerality in the background. It is full-bodied, supple and almost bold on the palate, but also refreshed by a cultivated acidity and good juiciness. It is quite seamlessly round, yet there is an inner tension, and it is still a very young wine.
