The white wine Chardonnay Reserve, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Escher has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Spicy, yet discreetly persistent wood and a floral, herbal-spicy varietal character. On the palate, the wine has a taut structure, a fine, nervous play, the tactile, mineral components emphasising the delicate phenolics. This is an elegant and pleasingly "cool" Chardonnay with very good length.
