Tasting Notes
Copper colour scheme. Not commonplace in the fragrance. Meadow herbs, yellow ripe apple and pear sorbet. Full-bodied on the palate due to phenolics and maceration. Fine acidity. A touch of alcohol accompanies the very exciting finish. A wine for adventurers.
More about the tastingCopper colour, almost amber. Exciting aromas of wormwood, dark caramel, pear compote, quince peel, a herbal note and smouldering wood chips in the smoker. On the palate, intense, rich and full-bodied, the alcohol is well integrated, plenty of tannins and phenolics that blend in well, fine fruit expression, juicy, tart pear underpinned with minerality. Good tension until the finish.
