The red wine G „Francesca“, vintage 2000 from the winery Weingut Gesellmann has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Intense garnet, good depth of colour, subtle ochre rim. On the nose, subtle nuances of ripe plums, cherry compote, a fine herbal savouriness, hints of caramel and vanilla. Juicy, dark berries, a touch of nougat, freshly structured, with supporting tannins, sweet notes of cherry and berries on the persistent, mineral finish. Very well developed, a great credit to the Millennium vintage. In perfect condition. (2025, drink, hold +15)
