The rosé wine »New Chicks on the Block Wine of Pink Colour«, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Hammel has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Souvignier Gris, Sauvitage, Cabernet Blanc, Regent from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The "Wine of Pink Colour" turns out to be a dry Rotling on the back label, and this category could also be a wonderful gateway for Piwis. On the nose, the wine shows only very delicate strawberry notes, with nothing unnecessarily overpowering. There is also little to explain on the palate. Little savouriness, but fruit ranging from strawberry and raspberry to red-cheeked apple. A crowd pleaser.
