The white wine 2018 »Steingrüble« Gutedel unfiltriert trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Hanspeter Ziereisen has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Baden in Germany.
There's a strong yeasty character to the nose, along with yellow apple, apple peel and cereal notes - some spontaneous fermentation indicators. Very grown-up on the palate with silky phenolics and a fresh and tense profile thanks to the delicate chalky minerality. It's very finely chiseled despite all the drive, with melon, kumquat and cumin notes. Lots of tension, lots of future promise.
