The white wine 2022 Wachenheim Gerümpel Erste Lage Riesling trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Karl Schaefer has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Fragrant herbal nose of thyme, some vanilla, also cinnamon and freshly grated apple. On the palate, this flint wine is more tart, denser, has a taut acidity with a lot of pull and enormous juiciness. It still seems young, but is already proving to be a great accompaniment to food.
