The white wine »Réserve« Chardonnay**** trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Knipser has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Toasty, yellow tobacco, fully ripe grapes, some honey, mango. On the palate, dense phenolics like a fine veil over the pear fruit, dense in extract, supporting acidity, good concentrate, much substance, which is not yet developed, will continue to increase.
More about the tastingToasty new wood, light floral notes, lime blossom, also a touch of honey and chalky undertones. On the palate a dense phenolics is smoothly bedded, the acidity is ripe and seems harmoniously integrated into the body, the finish is still completely closed, but hints at great ageing potential with its concentrated nature.
