The red wine Südtirol Cabernet Riserva Staves DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Weingut Kornell has been rated in 2015 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby. Massive and powerful on the nose, lush with ripe dark currants and raspberries, underpinned by pronounced savoury notes. The palate similarly shows lots of juicy, rich berry fruit, then opens with powerful tannins. A supple core, dense and long.
