Initially, the wine's aroma is primarily woody and spice, but it also has berryish Burgundy aromas in the background. With air contact, aromas of spring meadow, clover blossom and straw flowers emerge. On the palate the wine has a good balance of suppleness, substance and savouriness, the acidity combines well with the substantial body and the alcohol; the wine certainly has muscle, but does not seem overpowered. Great length.
