The red wine »RP1 auserlesen« Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Reiner Probst has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Baden in Germany.
Could also pass for Syrah in terms of colour. Lush bouquet with balsamic savouriness and ripe dark fruits, cherry, currant, sweet figs, dark tobacco, ink, smoke. Spreads nicely on the palate, concentrated and expansive with lots of fruit. Very substantial, integrated tannin in good measure, lots of texture, spicy, smoky minerality, some caramel on the long finish. Ample and hearty wine.
