The red wine Syrah trocken spätgelesen, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Reiner Probst has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Baden in Germany.
Elderberry pulp, herbal savouriness, pepper, spontaneous fermentation and a hint of Marsala on the nose. On the palate, the wine starts smoothly and then develops sweet fruit and mild, mealy tannins. The wine radiates fullness and warmth without being overheated. Despite the slightly oxidative undertones, the high tannin maturity should guarantee good further development in the medium term. A wine full of mellowness and sensuality.
