Very closed in flavour at the time of tasting. Skilful, almost imperceptible use of wood. A little hazelnut. The palate reveals a very still wine with subtle drive and a wealth of fruit. Ripe, vivid phenols and a firm acid backbone dominate. A red wine in disguise.
