The red wine Cabernet Franc Premium, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Salzl – Seewinkelhof has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Burgenland in Austria.
Deep dark ruby-garnet colour, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate ochre rim brightening. Intense bouquet of mint and eucalyptus, a hint of precious wood and nougat. Complex, powerful, ripe fruit, hints of plums, vivid tannins, mineral finish, still needs some time, very promising.
More about the tastingA dark ruby red, ochre hues, brightening on the rim. Cassis and blackberries, some peppermint, candied mandarin zest, a multi-faceted bouquet. Full-bodied, cool, dark berry fruit, vivid tannins, mineral and persistent, very youthful, will certainly benefit from further bottle ageing.
