The white wine «Springbok« Cuvée trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut St. Georgenhof has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Sauvignon Blanc aromas dominate the nose, with green gooseberry, cassis, kiwi, and mango, followed by the turmeric and saffron spice of the Chenin Blanc. Full-bodied on the palate, yet not mouth filling, the lively acidity framing the creamy base and balancing the juicy fruit, finely spiced, a versatile food wine.
