The white wine »R« Weißburgunder, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Uwe Gessner has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Franconia in Germany.
The nose shows a stage of first development, some wood and spicy-herbal varietal aromas, anise and fennel seeds, buttery undertones. In the mouth the wine focuses on texture and acidity, it has a high concentration and extract reserves for three, four, five years of further bottle aging. The wood is very well integrated. Will reward patience!
