The white wine »Monoceros« Chardonnay, vintage 2018 from the winery Weinhaus am Wißberg has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Light golden yellow in colour. Fine smoke surrounds notes of pear and apricot, some raspberry, stony notes. With the usual substance and opulence of the vintage on the palate, juicy, savoury and with a beautiful mineral-salty tinge. Round and voluminous, not a lightweight, the alcohol is well integrated, finishes salty with a long finish. .
