The beautiful DNA of Cabernet makes itself felt in the wet stone and graphite scent that carries poised, dark fruit. Gentle smoke mingles with dark berry and comes with an edge of tobacco that seems to be the first stirring of evolution. The palate is taut and structured but amidst the welcome Cabernet rigour, the absolute juiciness and exuberance of the fruit is undeniable. Balance and harmony are writ large, a salty touch of soy informs the long finish.
