Tasting from 01.12.2023: Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler

Intense, bright ruby with a pale garnet rim. Multi-layered and concentrated on the nose, initially slightly spicy-resinous notes of wild blueberries, hints of smoke and liquorice, then lots of prune, balsamic and dried fig. Intense and powerful on the palate with lots of grippy tannin, embedded in a beautiful texture, long finish. A great example of this vintage.
